  • How do I order a lei?
    To order a lei to honor a special occasion or person, please give us a call! We are happy to create a custom lei po'o (lei for the head/floral crown) or lei a'i based on the symbolism, color desires and size of your needs. Lei are only made with fresh flowers or foliage with special care and intention to honor their roots in Hawaii.
  • Illness & Emergency
    We understand unpredictable things happen! In case of illness or emergency, individual ticket refunds can be issued if we are notified immediately and within 48 hours of the event. For group private events, refunds cannot be issued within 3 days (72 hours) of the event start time. Please reach out ASAP if you think you might have an issue.
  • How do I schedule a private event?
    We'd love to connect with you on tailoring an event for your group! Our Experience page offers more details on the kinds of nature-based learning experiences and workshops you can choose from. Call or email us if you don't see what you're looking for as we regularly create personalized experiences that take your group size, group ability, space dynamics and other preferences into account.
  • How far in advance can I book a private event?
    The minimum lead time we need to put together a private workshop is 7 days though we prefer a 10-14 day lead time to best serve you! For groups of 10 or less we may be able to accommodate you with 5 days notice. Please call to inquire.
  • What are the payment options?
    All payments are accepted through our website and mobile app via Wix's secure, encrypted platform including all major credit cards and Apple Pay. For drop-in events, Venmo & cash are accepted. Please note, we do not accept PayPal payments (through Wix or otherwise).
  • What can I expect in a workshop?
    Our workshops are appropriate for beginners and designed to support your learning and creativity. Recommended ages for each workshop is listed within the event itself, and can also be found on our Experiences page. Lead facilitator Julia is a certified science educator and ecologist with 15 years experience guiding nature connection-based learning. We will modify activities as needed for groups with differing abilities and provide written as well as verbal instructions to ensure your success. All materials, set-up and break-down of the event is provided so you are guaranteed a smooth, enjoyable experience!
  • What is your refund/cancellation policy?
    Lei Orders: Lei orders canceled 4 days before pick-up date or earlier will receive full refund. Orders canceled within 3 days of pick-up order will not be refunded. ​ Drop-In Workshops: Refunds may be issued if your space is canceled 3 days ahead of workshop date. Within 3 days only 50% of funds will be returned. Otherwise full refunds for drop-in workshops are only given in the event of a true emergency. Tickets ARE transferable to another person so if you cannot attend get a friend to go for you! ​ Private Workshops: Within 7 days of cancellation a full refund can be issued. Within 5 days only 50% of funds will be returned. If your ticket was booked in a group, please contact the person who booked your ticket. No shows to events without prior written communication via email or phone will not receive refund.
  • Do you travel out of Connecticut?
    Yes! We are a mobile business and can take our workshops on the road. States we actively travel to include RI, MA, VT, NH, southern ME, NY, and NJ. Travel fees apply.
  • Do you deliver for flowers?
    For orders over $300 and within New Haven County we will deliver for a small additional fee. If you live outside of New Haven County, you can pick-up your order at Folklore Flowers, our partner florist at 266 Boston Post Rd in Madison, CT.
  • Do you offer gift certificates?
    No, at this time we are not offering gift certificates.
  • Why do FAQs matter?
    FAQs are a great way to help site visitors find quick answers to common questions about your business and create a better navigation experience.
  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about your business like "Where do you ship to?", "What are your opening hours?", or "How can I book a service?".
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
  • Where can I add my FAQs?
    FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
