About the event
We are excited to be hosting an on-going drop-in workshop at this historic fair! Join us and learn how to weave a Hawai'i-style floral crown called lei po'o! We will be running workshops every hour throughout the fair day.
Fair Hours:
Fri Sept 1st     4pm -8pm
Sat Sept 2nd  9am - 8pm
Sun Sept 3rd. 9am - 8pm
Mon Sept 4th 9am - 5pm
Certified educator, conservation biologist and owner of Pua Le'a Floral, Julia will be teaching about the plants, techniques and deep nature connection involved with lei-making. This is not your average floral crown!
Workshops are appropriate all-ages & beginners (kids ages 6 and up) and guests will get hands-on to weave a half-size floral crown. All flowers and foliage are sourced from Connecticut farms and lei are 100% bio-degradable for an eco-friendly art! Lei typically last 3-5 days if stored in the fridge.
*A portion of proceeds will be donated to community organizations helping to rebuild Lahaina, Maui after the devastating wildfires of early August.*
