What can I expect in a workshop?
How far in advance can I book a workshop/order a haku lei?
Our workshops are appropriate for beginners and designed to give you a taste of Hawaii, with Hawaiian slack key guitar music and a laid-back feel to host your creative energy. At the beginning of each class, we provide verbal and written instructions so you can successfully create a full-length haku lei. We also offer a primer on common Hawaiian words relating to lei and provide all materials: raffia, flowers & foliage, floral snips, floral tape, spritz bottles, etc.
The minimum lead time we need to put together lei orders is 3 days but orders can be placed up to 8 months in advance. We highly recommend placing orders at least 7 days in advance. Private workshops require 7 days notice.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! We are happy issue you an electronic gift certificate for your choice of floral gift. You can choose a monetary amount on our 'Gift Card' page. We offer gift card amounts for each type of haku lei (small, medium or large flowers) and the receiver can choose their colors OR you can offer a drop-in workshop to as many people as you'd like!
What are the payment options?
All payments are accepted through our website and mobile app via Wix's secure, encrypted platform.
How do I take care of my haku lei?
Lei are woven tightly to last through your event and for an additional 3-5 days. Lightly spritz with water a few times during the event. Spritz and store toward the front of the fridge when not wearing. NOTE: storing lei towards the back of the fridge may cause a wilting or 'freezer burn' of certain sensitive flowers.
Illness & Emergencies
In case of illness or emergency, individual refunds can be issued if we are notified immediately. No shows to events without prior written communication via email or phone will not receive a refund.
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
Lei Orders: Lei orders canceled 3 days before pick-up date or earlier will receive full refund. Orders canceled within 3 days of pick-up order will not be refunded.
Drop-In Workshops: Refunds may be issued if your space is canceled 3 days ahead of workshop date. Within 3 days only 50% of funds will be returned. Otherwise full refunds for drop-in workshops are only given in the event of a true emergency. No shows to events without prior written communication via email or phone will not receive refund.
Private Workshops: Refunds may be issued individually if tickets were individually booked 7 days or more of workshop date. Within 6 days only 50% of funds will be returned. If your ticket was booked in a group, please contact the person who booked your ticket. No shows to events without prior written communication via email or phone will not receive refund.
